Tarshish family from Zhosli and Vievis Lithuania
My maternal great-grandfather Barnett Tarshish immigrated from Lithuania to England prior to 1874. His father Meyer Tarshish most likely never left Lithuania, i.e. was born and died there. I am looking to understand what records exist, or how might I go about researching records in the Zhosli/Vievis regions which is in between Vilnius and Kaunas. Thank you
