What is the correct place name for 1650-1799?
I'm research 3 of my families in Alswede, Germany (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/53650?availability=Family%20History%20Library). When I go to enter a baptism, marriage or burial during this time period, I would like to select the correct "standardized place". Can you tell which of the following I should select?
Germany, Preußen, Westfalen, Alswede - from the Catalog
Given as possible locations when entering an event:
Alswede, Kreis Lübbecke, Westphalia, Prussia, German Empire - Municipality
Alswede, Posen Ost, Posen, Prussia, German Empire - Municipality
Alswede, Lübbecke, Minden-Lübbecke, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - populated place
Alswede, Lübbecke, Kreis Lübbecke, Westphalia, Prussia, German Empire - populated place
Thank you!
Jenny

Is there some way to get FamilySearch to recognize that as a "standardized place"? I know that sometimes if you don't use a standardized place, it won't allow certain actions to be done.

1 and 4 are basically the same, referring to Alswede in the time period of the German Empire (1871-1918)
2 is a different place with the same name in the Posen Province (now Poland) https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10026071
3 is the same place as 1 and 4, but for the time after WWII (1945-today)
So, none of these applies to the time period 1650-1799. I would propose to use a general (non standardized) descriptor like: Alswede, Westphalia, Germany which uniquely identifies this place.

Here is a group where these types of questions are discussed: https://community.familysearch.org/de/group/68-familysearch-places
However, I don't think this issue will be resolved any time soon ...

Thank you, I have sent and email to placefeedback@familysearch.org to see what they say.
I really appreciate your suggestion and will use it.
