- This column is highly unusual if a German marriage record and is full of mysterious abbreviations and unfamiliar (to me) placenames. The figures are quite legible but not really able to be useful unless one was familiar with what they refer to. I assume the document might refer to the 1800s but it could possibly be earlier, as there are no full dates anywhere I can see.

Thank you for your help. Is this a marriage record? I was thinking a military record.

It would make sense that it is a military record of some kind, it has a column for rank and the term "Mobilmachung" refers to mobilisation, could be a military sense, also the abbreviations could be his unit.
I didn't bother to read the blank columns which also refer to battles!
I was led to believe its a marriage because of the column using the term "Ehegattin" which means bride, and would seem odd to use this term in any other situation, but there is nothing else on the record to indicate its purpose.
Where did you get the document from?

This is a military record, not a marriage record. If you look in the gutter of the right-hand page near the bottom, it says "Kriegsstammrolle," which is a muster roll or personnel roster. Column 10 lists when he served, as well as rank and unit. Someone who is familiar with military terms should be able to interpret what is listed there.

Thank you both for your help. Maybe someone with military experience will assist.
