I need help with the first record for 1873 for Georg Epping
- Is the death date 3 Feb 1873?
- Is the burial date 4 Feb 1873?
- What is the abbreviation before the father's [Gerhard] name?
- What is being told after the death date [3 Feb]? Perhaps his age?
THANKS

Hi Steve:
- Yes, just before the 3 Feb 73 date is "gest." (gestorben= died)
- Yes, that column is headed by the word "Begraben" = buried.
- Ehel. can be an abbreviation for ehelich (legitimate) or Eheleute (married couple). I think in this case it is eheleute and referring to the parents but sometimes german sentence structure fools me. If it was ehelich it would refer to the son (the deceased) but I think the "der" is starting a new clause so I read it as eheleute refering to the parents. Either way ends up meaning the same thing.
- Yes, it says Alt 6J[ahre] 10M[onate] = age 6 years, 10 months)
