Using Labels in the "Following" list

I used to be able to click "Follow" on a person page, then an invitation to Label that person would pop up (bottom left).

Now, if I want to label, I have to go to my Following page, scroll down to the person of interest, and choose Label from the menu.

Can we go back to the old way and save some steps?

When I click to add someone to my following list, the option to follow popups in the upper right corner.
