Nancy,
Katharina Elisabetha Lenhart, Number 367 in Kaiserslautern on 11 April 1889 (this is the registration date, not the birth date)
Appeared before the undersigned civil registrar, the personally known informant, the midwife Jacobine Kress, maiden name Schlegler, residing in Kaiserslautern
Indicated that the single clothworker Anna Maria Lenhart, Catholic, residing in Kaiserslautern, daughter of the railroad worker Heinrich Lenhart, residing in this place at Kaiserslautern in the parental home
On the 5th of April 1889 at 11:30 at night, gave birth to a female child who was given the name of Katharina Elisabetha. Anna Maria Lenhart was recovering from the birth.
Read, approved and signed by Jakobine Kress. Recorded in the civil registration office, signed by Ph Gross and certified in Kaiserslautern on 11th April 1889.

Thank you so much, Sue… I didn’t see a husbands name, so I assumed she was not married. This clarifies that for me. Do you know how I would find more information about her mother or about her, or do you just translate? This is my first time using this, wonderful service!!! I’m impressed!

I would make the following change (shown in bold) to the otherwise excellent translation made by @sueungricht:
On the 5th of April 1889 at 11:30 at night, gave birth to a female child who was given the name of Katharina Elisabetha. The informant stated that she had been present at the child delivery of Anna Maria Lenhart.

You're welcome, Nancy. When you say sources, are you referring to the "Sources" in FamilySearch Family Tree? If so, I don't work in Family Tree but it seems that "copy and paste" would probably work well.

Nancy,
Here is a link for my favorite gazetteer for Germany:
Civil registration records started in Bavaria in 1876, but in nearby towns, civil registration started early in 1799. The great thing about those records are that often you can search for a name and don't have to go page by page.
Before that, you would have to search for church records. This current record states that she is Catholic, so that helps. In meyersgaz, it shows that in Kaiserslautern there was no Catholic parish, so you would have to search in nearby towns with a Catholic parish. Under the ecclesiastical tab, it shows nearby parishes. I would look in Otterbach (link attached) or Hohenecken to look for church records. Check in Familysearch.org under the catalog tab and type in the name of the town to see what is available.

Thank you, Robert… One more question. Do I copy and paste this into sources or is there a better way to do it? I SO appreciate your expertise!
