Berg - Latin/German Assistance
I'm reviewing the Baptism record for Joannes Berg:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSL1-TWN6?i=199&cat=16396
On the side, he says he was born in December, he was born and born again.
filius leitimus Joannis berg operarii et gertrudis blasius conjugumet Nittel, bvantbur eum joanne Schreiner Marito Margaretha Donokel Nittel et Catharina Muller wxore Mathias Berg et Nittel in quorum fidem jublips
My question is, I'm misreading the bolded word bvantbur. Also, it lists his father as operarii - would that be similar to a day laborer? Does it say the date of his baptism anywhere or did I miss that completely?
Thank you!

The word is levantibus (lifting from the baptismal font), a paraphrase for the baptismal sponsor(s).
The date of baptism (and birth) is in the top left: December vigesima secunda = 22 December
operarius means a (day)worker
ex Nittel = from Nittel refers to the location (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20337034)

I think your missing word is levantibus, referring to the godparents. Yes, operari refers to a day laborer. When an entry says "natus" and "renatus" it means born and baptized, so this child was baptized on the same day.

@Ulrich Neitzel Thank you. I thought operarius meant day laborer. Later on in history, another one of Johann's sons listed that his dad was a land owner, so sounds like he may have inflated their standing a bit.
Thank you for the date, I missed that. He celebrated his birth date as the 24th in America. Might have been easier to celebrate it on Christmas Eve.
