I need help finding online info for following question !
I am looking for online records for an ancestor of mine ! His name is Friedrich Max Sebastian, and he is born between 1867 and 1874. His place of birth is in Saxony, Germany. The name of the town is either Gruenberg, Goesau, Goessnitz, or Gross Werden. They are all close to each other ! The nearest larger city is Crimmitschau and Zwickau.
I have absolutely no idea where online to look for, or how to go by finding that info !
Can anyone help me with that, or give me a good lead ?
Also, if anyone needs help in translating anything from German to English, or deciphering some German records, then let me know !
Thanks to all who respond !

The best place to start is the FamilySearch catalog to see if there are any records available for any of the towns you mentioned. You can also check at Ancestry.com. Next, I would try looking at Sachsen Adreßbbücher, available at https://adressbuecher.sachsendigital.de/. I would also check out the digital holdings at the Sachsen State Archives, available at https://www.archiv.sachsen.de/was-online-ist-4065.html?_cp=%7B%22accordion-content-6254%22%3A%7B%220%22%3Atrue%7D%2C%22previousOpen%22%3A%7B%22group%22%3A%22accordion-content-6254%22%2C%22idx%22%3A0%7D%7D.
If Friedrich was evangelisch, you could also see if any records are available at Archion.de, but their Sachsen holdings are rather slim at this point. If he was catholic, you could also try at Matricula-online here - https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/landkarte/?bbox=-845087%2C5004486%2C3797391%2C7100694.
Hope this helps.
