Gustave Muranyi ancestors

Hello, I am having difficulty finding ancestors/relatives for Gustav Muranyi 1871-1961. Conflicting information has Gustav being born in Temesvar, Hungary or Turkey or Italy. One article said he was born in Turkey and went to Hungary because his 'father was involved in political intrigue and had to fly to Hungary to avoid arrest." He was married to Helena Vella of Wales. Any information would be helpful. Common spellings of his name are: Gustave, Gust, Alfred or August (middle name?). Last name spellings: Muranyi, Murani, Muraney. Thanks! Jeannie

If that's your Gustav/August, then his birthplace looks kinda like Trencsén to me -- which was a town and a county in northern Hungary, i.e. kinda at right angles from Temesvár. What's the source of the latter?

All of the "Gus" names frequently got conflated, and as Christopher says, the Hungarian for August is Ágoston or Ágost. (Gustav is Gusztáv.)
