Confirming a couple of words in an 1808 Alsatian birth record
I think I worked out this birth record for Daniel Gerst in 1808, but there are a couple of quirky words I would like confirm:
- the two bolded instances of 'DeClarent' and 'DeClaratin' as being Declarant (using the French word, like the way 'maire' is used?)
- the partially obscured word, bolded below, as most likely being 'erkleart' as part of 'zu wollen erkleart hat', meaning something like 'declared the wish to name'
- the partially obscured work, bolded below, as most likely 'Geburtsschein'
Thanks!

Hello @Tom Randolph
you did very well with your transcription and translation.
I think the spelling is Deklarant. In the second instance from the meaning it should be Deklaration, but I see no "o" in the ending. The sentence is: Besagte Deklaration und Vorzeigung ... = Said declaration and presentation...
Geburtsschein is correct.
