Birth Registration San Pietro di Morubio - Verona
Hello everyone,
I have been trying for a few days now to locate the birth registration/ certificate of Great Grandfather in San Pietro di Morubio with no luck.
Name: Antonio Melotto
Born 1891
Father: Luigi Melotto
Mother: Ceriani Vitoria
Left Italy with at age of 4 got married and died in Brazil MG
For some reason the book of 1891 is missing on the FS indexes.
I have so far emailed the comume in San Pietro which I have not received a response so far and I have also emailed the civil registry in Brazil where the marriage register is to see if the birth registration is attached to it but no response either.
Any help wold be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Fabi

Here is the 1891 birth record file for San Pietro di Morubio, the births are not indexed, soyou will have to go through them one by one. Hopefully you wil be able to find his name in there, there are not many births.
Let me know if you have other problems.

Those are not the birth records. They are only supporting attachments related to certain items in the birth records for the year (registrations from out of town, record corrections, etc.

Unfortunately, the best you can get is this from the 10-year index, and there are no parents listed, so you can't even be sure this is the right record.
You would have to request 1891 record #70 from the town of San Pietro di Morubio. The Antenati/FamilySearch scans are made using the State Archive copies of the records so if something is missing, your only hope is that the comune still has its original copy.

@MargaretWalter thank you, I had a look on those yesterday but they are only supporting documents.

@Cousin Vinny, thank you. I found that index yesterday and tried to find the 1981 book in other places online but definitely nowhere to be found.
Emailed the comune with the screenshot of the index as well, but I don't think I will have any luck with email either.
Although there is no parents name in there I'm almost certain this is the right Antonio, with would be too much of a coincidence if not.
Thank yo again!

Remember: if the comune doesn't have the record, the state archives is supposed to have another copy. You can mail them too. They can lean on the comune to respond to you if you let them know you didn't receive a reply.
