Yes, they are the parents.
It is helpful to remember that due to naming conventions, there will always be children with the same names as their grandparents, thus many same-named 1st cousins everywhere!
So, it is always helpful to research all of the births first. For example, I would search for Domenico's marriage and all of his children moving forward from that date knowing that until you found a Francesco (his father's name) you hadn't found them all.
The Domenico on this record could be a grandson or a grandnephew.
I know, it's a lot of work.

Thank you for answering quickly. Is there a name Agostino in this record or any information on him? Also, any ages mentioned? Domenico is the son of Francesco Paolo and Elisabetta Mancini? Domenico is husband of Stella Franzoso? Just want to verify the findings.
Thank you!

Hi -
No problem.
Agostino Contegiacomo, aged 51 and Domenico Contegiacomo aged 22 reported the death.
They are both listed as bricklayers.
No ages listed for parents since they are both deceased.
Domenico is the WIDOWER of Stella Franzoso in this record. She predeceased him.

Thank you, for the clarification of Agostino and for providing his age. Agostino must be the son of Dominico 83 years old and also has a son Domenico 22 years old. Sorry, a little confused about who is who. Francesco Paolo and Elisabetta Mancini the parents of the 83-year-old Dominico?

I have on my tree Agostino as my great-grandfather and his father is Domenico before I asked for the translation. I just learned from you that the father to Domenico (83) is Francesco Paolo. Too bad the record didn't show his age then I could go back in the records and look for his birth. Getting back to Agostino he had two children named Domenico that died early. So, the Domenico mentioned in this death record with Agostino and Domenico (22 yrs) must be another child Agostino had. That would be a grandson to Domenico 83 as you mentioned. Got it!!!! It does get confusing, but I understand it now. Thank you very much for all your help.

Hi -
You already asked about this record here:
I answered it there. It would appear that he was one of Domenico (83)'s children - apparently the oldest. The reason is Domenico (83) would have named is first born son after his father, Francesco. Now, if that Francesco had died, the next born boy would be named Francesco as well. And so on until Francesco lived! So, as I believe you mentioned, there could be a family with multiple Domenicos if previous children did not survive.
This is how you creep backwards to find the marriage for Domenico and Stella Franzoso if you do not already have it. Remember, Francesco was born in Castellana, so I would start there to look for the marriage of his parents.
That Francesco that died in 1893 was about 60 (ages often close but not exact) - so, they probably married circa 1833. I would start with 1830 and search marriages forward.
If I come across it I will let you know.
In the meantime here is Francesco's birth record:

It's not Francesco's Paolo's marriage. It's the marriage of Angelo Giuseppe Contegiacomo, son of deceased Francesco Paolo and of living Maria Concetta Laterza.
I think you're looking for the wrong marriage. The first person you listed in this thread, Domenico, died in 1893, age about 83. That would put his birth around 1810. His son Francesco died in 1893 and was born in 1833.
So the marriage that you would be looking for around 1830 would be that of Domenico and Stella Franzosa. And keep in mind the possibility that they may have married in another comune if Stella wasn't from Castellana. Do you have her death record?

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. My curiosity got the best of me because of the names. It was hard to make out with the writing not very clearly written. Thank you for your advice and I will spend time looking for a marriage between Donemico and Stella. I couldn't do this without all of you, you're so good at what you do and very helpful.
