Help with occupations on marriage registration.
Can I get some help with these occupation and with the notation found after the names of the parents of the groom?
- I think the top example starts with "Land" but I am not sure that is correct.
- The second occupation may start with "Gold" but I am not sure at all.
- On the final snip, there are notations. The 2nd part, after Peter Adolph's name looks like the date 31 Nov 18 (possibly 1818 since the marriage is taking place in January 1819). Is that a date death for Catharina Felten or is it for something else?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello @BetteB,
The first occupation is: Landmesser = surveyor.
The second occupation might be: Geldhüter = money guard? or money guardian? (This is a guess based on literally translating the two parts of the word "Geld" = money and "hüter" = guard/guardian.) Let's see if another community member can help you out here.
I read what is written after "Peter Adolph" as: und den am dreißigsten November achtzehn hundert und achtzehn verstorbenen Catterina Felten? = and Catterina Felten?, who died on the thirtieth of November, eighteen hundred and eighteen . . .
For future reference: Snippets are the bane of translators because snippets don't give the translators the opportunity to compare the scribe's handwriting and letter styles throughout the record. If you could post the entire image or a link to the image that would be very helpful.

Thank you so much and I'll definitely avoid snippets in future requests!

You're very welcome, @BetteB. I will say that I'm not comfortable with "money guard" so I do hope others will take a look at this and help you out.

Thank you so much. I hope that someone looks at it too. This group is wonderful and sometimes I feel a bit guilty popping in for help so often but people like you share your help so freely. As I go through these old records, my skill at recognizing words is improving, but at times I'm just stuck. I feel so fortunate to have the help of you and others who participate here!
