Need little help with the new St Petersburg Lutheran records
I just started indexing the new Lutheran church records from St Petersburg. Many people there appear to be of Finnish origin 🇫🇮
It's going pretty good with my school deutsch, but under Verstobene I see this special and honestly quite strange looking surname (?) appearing on many pages. Any idea what that means or how to index it?
Many thanks!

Hello @Juha Nevalainen,
The abbreviated word is "Todtgeboren" = stillborn.
The entry translates as: Stillborn son of the farmer Michael Andreassohn Lemetti.

@Robert Seal_1 excellent - many thanks for your quick help! Can you also assist with this entry, what might be the third word here? Pavlov Victor only lived for 3 months and his parents are not mentioned.

The word is: Kronszögling. This literally translates as: crown pupil.
I found a few examples of this word on the Internet but couldn't find a precise definition. My general sense, especially given the age of the child and no parents listed, is that Victor might be a ward of the state.
I would suggest you ask the German community at large if anyone knows a precise definition for this word.

I read "Kronszögling" - an expression I find only in connection with students: are you sure he lived only 3 months?

Yes so it seems, but maybe some kind of error when recording the original entry:

I would assume he was a student of some kind, not a local - and his parents were not known to the person making the entry.
I'm not sure if in the column "Alter des Verstorbenen" actually the age is given: I have seen records were e.g. the date of birth was given instead. What other information is on the right hand page (cut off)?
Are these records online? It might be helpful to see a few other pages as well.
