Help with added notation
Steve Schell
✭✭
My question concerns the 11th record on Aug 4 with sponsors Fredericus Happekotte and Christina Walford. This record actually starts on the preceding page, but my question is only about the added notation at the end.
- Is this saying she entered a mixed marriage, meaning Elmer was not Catholic?
- Is that word "eccia" and does that mean "church"
- What do you read the name of the church as?
THANKS

Hello @Steve Schell,
- Is this saying she entered a mixed marriage, meaning Elmer was not Catholic? Yes, that is how I would interpret this.
- Is that word "eccia" and does that mean "church" Yes, the word "eccia" is an abbreviation for the word "ecclesia" = church.
- What do you read the name of the church as? The name of the church is: St. Aloysius.
Translation: [she] entered into a mixed marriage on 26 April 1920 at St. Aloysius Church in Detroit, Michigan, with Elmer Schuette.
