Finding a Marriage Record
Hello, I am trying to find a marriage record of Georg Müller-GJQH-6QV and Rosina Barbara Klebser- GJ3Q-1B3. I have found and posted as many documents that I could find on this couple and am still not able to find their marriage. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful. I do not have a date of marriage and was only going by the oldest daughter's birth ( as far as I know she is the oldest) of 1801- I put the marriage 1791 +/- 10 years. I checked ancestry to see if they could get me a hit, but nothing. I checked Lauffen church records (brides place of birth) and Daisbach (Childrens place of birth) but still nothing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do any of the childrens birth records say where the father is from? Or have you found his death record? It could very well be that the marriage record is available but just hasn't been indexed yet.

Thank you for your response:
I have tried to find his death, but haven't been able to pinpoint it down, but I do know that his wife was known as a (widow) at the time of her death in 1832. I have searched everywhere I know for their marriage date, Georgs' death and birth.
One of the daughters marriage record states that she was the unmarried daughter of the former local tenant farmer and weaver, protestant faith.
I have had their records translated to see if I could gain any identifying information but nothing has helped in pinpointing

I just found something I missed. in one of the stillborn birth record -- states that Georg Miller was a linen weaver from Bretzenacker in Württemberg staying at the Freiherr von Goeler Castle--
I guess I will try Bretzenacker..

This must be the 1803 Daisbach baptism record you are referring to. My transcription skills are rough but it does seem to say he is from Brez??cker in Württemberg and lived for a while at the Freiherr Göler von Ravensburg Manor House

Bretzenacker seems to fit so definitely would be worthwhile to look for his birth record there.
It appears that Sulzfeld is the closest village to where the Freiherr Göler von Ravensburg Manor House is located. So you might also look for their marriage in Sulzfeld and other villages near the manor.

It's puzzling why his death record isn't in Daisbach since the records after 1832 suggest that he was a deceased master weaver there?

In son Conrad Müller's 1832 death record (age 22) it mentions a witness Johann Adam Müller citizen and master weaver here (Daisbach). This could possibly be a close relative of Georg. Might be worthwhile investigating Johann Adam Müller's records. Might lead to more info on Georg Müller.
In the 14 August 1825 birth of Georg's grandson in Daisbach it refers to his grandfather as the deceased local citizen and master weaver. So his death was before 14 August 1825 and he was apparently still a local citizen.

In the 1801 birth record of Georg's daughter, Georg is a resident master weaver without the rights of a citizen but according to other later records he became a citizen (burger). Sometimes town records can be found that record when someone became a citizen and where they came from. I couldn't fing any such records for Daisbach but it may be worth investigating if such records exist.
The 1801 birth record also records a witness by the name Jacob Müller who is a citizen of Daisbach. It may be worthwhile investigating records related to this Jacob Müller. It could certainly be a close relative.

JohnsonGreg,
Thank you so much for your reply and hints. I had thought the same thing as you about Johann Adam Muller and think this may be the only way to find more information on Johann Georg. I do wonder though why Johann was at the Castle. He was also mentioned at this castle in his second daughters birth entry and there were several years in between. I looked at the map you linked and saw that there was a town called Michelfeld. This name sounds familiar but I am not sure if it was the Müller line where I read about it in a record or another side of the family. I should probably get a timeline done and get to figuring this out.
I have been going through the family records and having them translated so I can fit this family together.
Thank you again for your time and if you may know WHY someone would stay at a castle for so long I would love to hear your thoughts.

My guess would be that he was working there as a weaver. Most of these Hofs were more likely a large estate (likely agriculturally based) rather than a castle. They might have a substantial Manor house as well as various outbuildings. So there would be need for many workers of various skills to support the estate and its workers.

That makes sense.. Do you know if these estates kept any type of records on the workers there?
