Could someone please help translate portions of this baptism record
Hermann Jakob was born in Hanau, Kassel on 24 July 1863 to an unwed mother, Katharina Magdalena Jeckel. The godfather was Hermann Jakob Ludorf. The note at the end of the record seems to indicate that the child assumed the surname of Ludorf (as he was later known) on or about 26 March 1877. Hermann should have been confirmed about 1877, but I could not find a confirmation record for him in Hanau, using either name Kiefer or Ludorf.
I would like help translating the last two columns in this record, No. 957. I believe the godparent column reads:
Hermann Jakob Ludorf, ledig, Schlossergeselle [journeyman locksmith], aus ___?
I believe the notes column reads something like this:
Nachricht: Nach ___ ___ ___ ___ 26/3 1877 A1 3868 bemächtigt den Namen Ludorf zu Ihnen

Bob, the last two columns in No. 957 read:
Hermann Jakob Ludorf, ledig, Schlossergeselle [journeyman locksmith], aus Volkmarsen
Nachricht:Unehelich Nach Urkunde K. Regierung zu Cassel von 26/3 1877 A1 3868bemächtigtberechtigt den Namen Ludorf zuIhnenführenThe last column means:
Illegitimate; according to a document from the royal government in Cassel from 26 March 1877, document A1 3868, [this child is] entitled to use the name Ludorf.
I figured out Volmarsen by looking for the first letter elsewhere in the document; I found a capital W (in the name Wilhelmine, up and to the left one column) and from that, could see that the placename started with a capital V (usually it just has one less stroke than the capital W). I could also read the ending -sen clearly, so I searched www.MeyersGaz.org for V*sen, filtered out by Hessen-Nassau, and looked at the results that did not include "hausen" since this place definitely did not, and it became clear that it was Volkmarsen.
You mentioned having looked for Ludorf and Kiefer in the confirmation records, but not his mother's maiden name; I looked for Jeckel in the 1864-1889 Marienkirche confirmation book index but didn't see him. It's possible he was already living and working elsewhere by the time he was confirmed, so perhaps a geographical search in surrounding parishes could help you locate his confirmation record.
I couldn't find Hermann Jakob Ludorf (the godfather) in the BMD Volkmarsen indexes on Archion, but their records don't start until 1841. Since it's a mostly Catholic area, I thought the records of Protestants may have been in the Catholic parish until then, so I looked on Matricula-Online and found only one person by that name (and several others surnamed Ludorf) in the Volkmarsen Catholic parish baptismal index. His baptismal record itself lists him as also illegitimate, the son of Carolina Ludorf (daughter of the deceased Gottfried Ludorf), born in July 1838 (making him 25 when his 1863 godchild was baptized), so this looks like a good fit. Do you have any other records of the 1863 Hermann Jakob that may contain additional information about his godfather, who looks to be his later adopted father, that may prove whether or not this is him in Volkmarsen (other than that his name and location and likely approximate age fit perfectly)?
By the way, you can create permalinks that will take anyone with an active Archion pass directly to the image in question; it's helpful to include this in your question (in case a helper does have access to Archion) because the image quality is often better than in the downloaded version. To create a permalink in Archion, with an image open, click on the chains icon (circled below), then on "Create" (or "Erstellen") in the pop-up on the right, and then copy the link that's created.

Thank you very much @Charlotte Noelle Champenois for your usual detailed research and response. Hermann Jakob Ludorf (b. 1863) was known from an estate record of his birth father, Gottlieb Friedrich Feil, who died in Newark, NJ in 1903. His will specifically mentioned his illegitimate son living in Steinfurth, Hessen (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20867038).
I got my lead on Hermann from Ancestry, which has his marriage and death records indexed in their Hesse collections. Both records give his birth date in Hanau and the name of his mother. Neither mentions his birth father or godfather. I will look closer at the Matricula records. Thanks for that.

I meant to say that I searched for the surname Ludorf and Jeckel. Kiefer was another name in the family that I was searching for in Hanau.
Yes, I should have included the permalink for the image. I use that all the time when I add a source into FamilySearch. In my mind it's more efficient than downloading the image and attaching it.

You're welcome, Bob!
It's interesting that he received the godfather's surname. I thought perhaps the mother died, and that's why the child received the godfather's name, or perhaps the godfather and the child's mother ended up marrying.
However, the 1889 marriage record (I see your response now, which lists the record as well), lists him as the illegitimate son of the still unmarried servant Katharina Magdalena Jeckel residing in Hanau. So, his mother was still living and unmarried in 1889, at least. The marriage record also states that the groom--born 1863--died on 8 December 1938 in Bad Nauheim. The death record lists his mother as unmarried, deceased, and last living in [i.e., died in] Hanau.
So, the mother must have died in Hanau between 1889 and 1938. I'm not sure whether that's helpful in your search, but I thought I'd mention it.
