Dudenhofen and Langenhain, Hesse, Church Records
In the past I was able to obtain copies of church records from the Lookup Service, but the past couple of requests have been returned saying the same microfilm is copyright restricted. Is there any way to get a copy of an individual record on the Film? I am interested in Films 1538619 (Dudenhofen) and 1272408 (Langenhain).
Thank you.

Dear Catherine:
Are you near an Affiliated Library or a FamilySearch Library (formerly called Family History Library)? Restricted images usually can be seen there. To find the FamilySearch Library or an affiliated library close to you, follow these steps:
1) Click on the "Map" icon at the right-hand corner of the FamilySearch.org screen. (It is to the left of the question mark.)
2) Click on "Discover a Local Center"
3) A map will show with markers displaying the FamilySearch Centers with trees, and the affiliate libraries with books
It is also possible to set up a free appointment with the Salt Lake FamilySearch Library by following these steps:
1) Click on the question mark in the right-hand corner of the FamilySearch.org screen
2) Click on "Community" at the bottom right-hand side of the FamilySearch.org screen
3) Click on "Free Research Consultation"
4) You can also call Salt Lake for a free 30-minute consultation 801-240-6996.
We wish you great success and patience on your journey. Please keep me informed, Catherine. In the times of frustration, i can be a great cheerleader! PaulaAnn

Thank you. I do have a family history center relatively near to me, but I thought they no longer ship microfilm to centers (the catalog shows the reel film symbol so I am assuming it has not been digitized yet. I was able to obtain a few documents from a volunteer at BYU who ordered the film, so maybe I will have to get in touch with them again.
I will try calling Salt Lake for a consultation, too. Thanks!

FamilySearch Centers and Affiliated libraries do have access to films that are restricted everywhere else. PaulaAnn
