Need help translating another German record into English
I have tracked my great grandfather, Dietrich Heinrich Schwecke to the village of Mehringen. He married Elizabeth Meyer. They immigrated to the USA in 1892 with 8 children. I have birth records of 4 of their children from Mehringen. I have always wondered if they had brothers and sisters that did not immigrate. Also, I'm hoping to find the marriage record of my great grandparents. Your help in translation of these records is so valuable. Thanks for helping.

Hello @Dietrich63,
Translation:
Number 3.
Wechold, on the 17th of February 1885.
Before the undersigned civil registrar appeared today for the purpose of marriage:
(1) the cottager and widower Friedrich Heinrich Schwecke, personally known, Lutheran religion, born 5 December 1846 in Wechold, residing in Ubbendorf, son of the deceased cottager Johann Heinrich Schwecke and his similarly deceased wife Dorothee, née Schwecke, [formerly] residing in Wechold.
(2) the domestic servant Kathrine Margaretha Rebecka Köster, personally known, Lutheran religion, born 3 August 1861 in Wechold, residing in Wechold, daughter of the cottager Friedrich Dietrich Heinrich Köster and the wife of the same Maria Margaretha Rebecka, née Castens, residing in Wechold.
Comments: The groom and both fathers are each identified as a "Brinksitzer" in this record, which I have translated as: cottager. Ernest Thode, German-English Genealogical Dictionary, defines "Brinksitzer" as: "cottager on the edge of a village near a grassy hill called a Brink".
FYI: There is a second page to this marriage record which includes the witnesses, the marriage ceremony, and the signatures of the groom, bride, witnesses, and civil registrar.

Thank you for the translation. And your suggestion that there was a second page was very helpful. The witnesses could be a key part of this record. I attached the second page in hope that you could also translate that. Names of people could be the key I'm looking for. Thanks.

Hello @Dietrich63,
The image you provided is not the second page of the marriage record for the 1885 Schwecke-Köster marriage.
Here is the link for this marriage record from Ancestry: https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/24076:61521?tid=&pid=&queryId=36f4a421ce40392c3450f42aab4550aa&_phsrc=fce2177&_phstart=successSource
The first page is image 83 of 104 images and the second page is image 84 of 104 images.
Here is the translation of page 2 of this marriage record:
Witnesses were brought in and appeared:
(3) the cottager Conrad Schwecke, personally known, 45 years old, residing in Wechold.
(4) the householder's son Heinrich Köster, personally known, 26 years old, residing in Wechold.
In the presence of the witnesses, the registrar asked the betrothed, one by one, the following question: whether they declare they want to marry each other. The betrothed answered this question in the affirmative and the registrar then declared that he would now, by virtue of the law, declare them to be legally married.
Read aloud, approved, and signed: Fritz Schwecke | Rebecke Schwecke, née Köster | C. Schwe(c)ke | H. Köster.
The Civil Registrar: D. Otto.

Thank you again, especially for taking the time to locate the second page. I still have much to learn about ancestry.com and FamilySearch.
I had hoped that the names of the witnesses would match with names I know were part of my great grandparents family, but none of these names are familiar to me. I will continue the search. I suspect these Schwecke's were cousins. Thank you again. Your help is so appreciated.
