Koniz - Marriage - 1697 - Spring or Springer - Wife Margreth Wyss

The marriage record on right side of page in middle. That is my 8th great grandfather. After the wife's name I was hoping it would have where she was from. I cannot read it. Do you have a guess? Also, the name was Spring, but for some reason for a few years they put Springer.

Is this record from Köniz? In this case I would guess, they lived in Köniz ... but the abbreviations tell us that they got married in Bern, and this was just noted in the Köniz record.

Springer would be another Swiss name - but not for Seftigen. Right now I don’t have an explanation .

Second thoughts 😉: Conced: Consist: Bern:

Consist: could be the abbreviation for Consistoire: this would be the name for the Moral Courts (see https://community.familysearch.org/de/discussion/comment/466580/#Comment_466580) in Basel parishes - but was possibly also used occasionally in Bern(?). If that is the case, the couple would have gotten permission to get married from this Moral Court (Chorgericht). Their minutes may give more information. These minutes are kept at the State Archive (https://community.familysearch.org/de/discussion/comment/466580/#Comment_466580), and to my knowledge are not online, not even available on DVD from the Bern Genealogical Society (like for most other parishes).
