Translation help with marriage record
Hello,
Can you please help me translate the marriage record shown below? I’m specifically interested in any relationship mentioned between Paul Raddatz and Peter Raddatz.
The text in bold states “Carl Raddatz” (difficult to read).
Thank you,
Adrian

Thank you for your assistance! I’m not sure how to interpret the “colonist” reference, unless they founded Obodowo (a.k.a. Obendorf)?

Hello Adrian,
a colonist was basically a farmer, often a settler who reclaimed land. The term is particularly used for German settlers in the east of Europe.
I couldn't find any location called "Obadowo". Your suggestion Obodowo (Obendorf) is probably correct (https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20398061). On the map you see a location called "Kol[onie] Eichfelde" south of Obodowo which has the typical form of a new settlement.

Thank you @Ulrich Neitzel,
Ironically, I found a birth record of Peter Raddatz and Caroline Wiese (their son Johan August Raddatz) in Eichfelde. I also have Carl’s birth record, which lists Obodow. Thank you again for helping me piece this together!
