Hello Adrian,
on this website there seem to be problems when uploading more than one image at the same time. Can you please try to repost the images one by one?

Would you be willing to help me translate the following? I believe this is Peter’s wife “Eva”, based on the repeat mentioning of “Ewald”, but it also lists a different last name for her, so it is confusing to me.
Thank you,
Adrian

Translation of the second death record:
Date of burial: 29 June [1857]
Place of burial: Zempelkowo
Name and occupation of the deceased: Eva Raddatz née Hassmann, wife of the retired farmer Peter Raddatz, widow of the deceased farmer Johann Ewald
Residence of the deceased: Zempelkowo
Date and hour of death: 26 June 9 a.m.
Age: 75 years
Illness or other cause of death: old age
Medical assistance: none
Name of the pastor: the same [as above: Bethke]
Reason for the pastor's conviction of the certainty of death: [reported] by foster daughter Caroline Hasemann
Children or other heirs as far as the pastor has knowledge: husband, 1 adult daughter from 1st marriage and 2 adult children from the 2nd marriage: Catharine and Peter
My comments: There are some discrepancies between these records: the maiden name of Eva is given here as Hassmann while in the death record of her husband Peter as Hese. This death record names only two children from the 2nd marriage, while in Peter's there are four (although it is possible that two of them are from a different marriage). Nevertheless, I tend to believe that it is the same Eva in both records.

Thank you! I agree with you that it is likely the same Eva Rosina; it does have me confused. The ancestor I know I’m related to is shown in the record below. This is the birth record of Paul Raddatz, father Peter Raddatz and mother Louise (?) Heese. Can you please help me translate it? Does it say Louise? Also, what does it say next to “Dorothea Raddaz”? I’m wondering if this might be a grandmother.
Thank you,
Adrian

Translation of the birth record:
Born: 12 December 1824, 11 a.m. in Zempelkovo
Baptized: 27 December
Child: Paul
Parents: Farmer Peter Raddaz, Louise Heese
Sponsors: Christian Wilke, David Bleck, maiden (Jgfr = Jungfer) Dorothea Raddaz
My comments: Yes, the mother is Louise Heese (here with double "e", however this is just a spelling variant like the Raddaz without "t"). The wife of Peter Radda(t)z in the two death records is Eva (Rosina), so seems to be a different person maybe a sister of Louise. Paul is not named in the death record of Eva either which suggests that he is not her son. Dorothea is a Jungfer, a young unmarried woman, possibly a sister of Peter.

Thank you again!
I think I’m going to start to just comb through all of the Raddatz records from Zempelkowo and try to piece it all together. There are a lot of details that don’t make sense, but if I could see the big picture of all the records, I may be able to piece them together.
Here is another one I’m curious about - it’s a Dorothea Raddatz (third record down), age 95 years old! Can you please help me translate this one?
Thank you again for all of your help!

Thank you!
I’ve started my record collection of all Raddatz records from Zempelkowo. Can you help me translate this marriage record? I think this says something about Johan Raddatz, son of Peter Raddatz is marrying Louise Ringhand, who was previously married to Jacob Raddatz who died. I have a suspicion that Peter and Jacob were brothers, and I’m wondering if it says something about it in this record. That would mean that Louise married her nephew….perhaps it isn’t that crazy?
I’d be grateful for your assistance with this one (third record down)

Translation:
Zempelkowo #8
On 19 February [1841] were married the bachelor Johan Raddatz from Zempelkowo, oldest legitimate son of the farmer Peter Raddatz there and Mrs. Louise Raddatz née Ringhand, widow of the deceased innkeeper Jacob Raddatz there.
[right column:] 25 years [Johan], 42 years [Louise]
Comment: The age difference is quite remarkable, so it is possible that Johan is the nephew of Louise; they are not related by blood, however, thus a marriage would be possible.

Hello Adrian,
if you have more records for translation I'd propose that you open a new thread for reasons of clarity (the suggestion is to have one image/request per post). Thank you.
