How should I proceed? 2 children in 5 months?
Hi
Cleaning up my tree. The data error report flagged both chiildren.
Konrad Wickenhauser and Anna Margaretha Vogel (3rd great-grandaunt) had:
In 1868:
On 14 Feb Karl Heinrich was born and was baptized on 23 Mar.
On 7 Jul a daughter was stillborn. And buried on the 9th.
Both have the same place, parents and father’s occupation. The only difference I can see is Karl’s mother is listed as Margaretha Vogel not Anna Margaretha.
I have baptism record for Karl and the birth and burial records for the daughter, but haven’t translated them yet.
How should I proceed?
Thank you!

Definitely need to translate the records. Some possibilities:
- Is the year incorrect on one of the records?
- Are there two different people with the name Konrad Wickenhauser?
- I suppose it is possible that Konrad Wickenhauser had a child out of wedlock with another woman.
Hopefully the translations will clarify the story.

It would be helpful if you posted the two images or links to the two images.

Karl's birth is here in a Duplicate Book of the Katholic parish.
Anonymous burial is here in the Lutheran Church book:
And her birth record in the Lutheran Church book

Thank you @JohnsonGreg for providing the two links.
Attn: @Martha Murray:
Note that very faintly in the right margin of the first page of Karl Heinrich's birth record is a note which says: Siehe Anlage = See attachment. The birth record continues onto the next page and there is a marginal note onthe left which translates as: See correction above.
Here is the link for the attachment which appears on image 587, one image before the record for Karl Heinrich's birth and baptism: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSZ5-ZC7R?i=586&cc=3015626
This attachment states that the parents for Karl Heinrich Wickenhauser in record no. 2 for the year 1868 are not the cooper Konrad Wickenhausen and Margaretha Vogel, but rather his parents are the day laborer Konrad Wickenhausen II and his wife Maria Juliana Hartmann.
