Help with marriage record from 1735

Hello @Deniese Drake,
Translation:
[no.] 103. On the 14th of November [1735], after three previously published proclamations in front of the church, the virgin Maria Jördens? [not sure of the "J"] from Hasede and the young man Henricus Hennies from here, are joined in marriage. Witnesses: Georgius Hennies, Heininguis Ölcker.
Comments: There's still not enough information to definitively say that the groom in this record is the same as Henricus Hennies (G8HQ-N9X). However, the name and location are correct and Henricus Hennies (G8HQ-N9X) would be about 25 years old at the time of this marriage. Also note that there is nothing in this marriage record that would eliminate Henricus Hennies (G8HQ-N9X) as the groom in this record. So more research is necessary to confirm or refute.

@Deniese Drake and @Robert Seal_1 I think the name is Dördens. There's a second line on that first capital letter which may make it a D.

The second line on the first capital letter seems to originate from the very ornate "E" one line above. Also, looking on name frequency there are more than 2000 records for Jördens in Niedersachsen on Ancestry, but none for Dördens. While this is no proof I would assume that Jördens is much more probable,

@Ulrich Neitzel The records number convinces me. ;)

Thank you to each of you that replied. I feel comfortable with the name Jordan. Robert, you indicated the groom fits but needs more research to confirm. What might you suggest? I have found my family using matricula-online.eu searching birth, marriage, and death records. Is there something else I could/should be looking at? Thank you much. Deniese

Hello Deniese,
I looked at Henricus's burial record which states that when he died he was "septuagenario major" = more than seventy years old. This results in a calculated birth year of 1712 or earlier. So given the evidence in the birth, marriage, and burial records for Henricus (name, place, age) you can presume that this is the same person in the three records.

Robert, I so appreciate your help. I don't know if you are in U.S. and celebrate Thanksgiving but hope you have a great day either way. Deniese
