Help with Johannes Schleicher death record 1794
This is from the Frauenbreitungen and Altenbreitungen death record but the first arrow states another location. Is it Grumbach? I know this record is difficult to read, but any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Paula Rail

Grumbach would definitely be plausible: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10667080.

Thank you for confirming the location. If anyone can help with what the record says I would appreciate it. I see Buttlar which is a location near Altenbreitungen but, I don't know what it is telling me about it.

Let me start with an attempt to transcribe ... hopefully someone else can edit/complete this, and then translate:
den 21. Septembris wurde Johannes Schleicher, gewesener
Schaffmeister(?), bey Herrn Rittmeister von Buttlar
auff Grumbach u(nd) Nachbar(?) zu Altenbreit(ungen) öffentlich(?) begraben
alt 69 Jahr 10 Monath 27 Tage …………
I believe that in some regions "Nachbar" is equivalent to "Einwohner, Bürger" - just a guess.

That was very helpful. Nachbar is used a lot in these records and I believe you are correct in your assumption. I have seen in other records of Johannes that he was a shepherd so that makes sense. Grumbach is just north of Altenbreitungen so he probably was a shepherd there and lived in Altenbreitungen. So I am wondering if Herrn Rittmeister died also and they both were buried at the same time?

bey Herrn Rittmeister von Buttlar means apparently that Johannes was employed by (the household of) von Buttlar.
"von Buttlar" was/is a noble family (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buttlar_family) of which one branch was residing in Grumbach.
