Who's marrying whom? This isn't mine. Just trying to figure out how to read it. Thanks.

On the left side, there are three text blocks separated by two names written in large letters. The first is the groom and the second is the bride. The image is too small for me to read otherwise.

Thank you. Now I can get back to work.

The words you referenced are 'celibe' and 'nubile', respectively. If you click on the three-bar menu on the top left of the image pane, the third button below information and copyright is the page selector. On the right side of the image pane, there's a page button that gives the option of gallery view too which is useful in navigating process records that are organised well. I recommend rolling through the indices when you have a reference date until you hit the target, because there's no guarantees on the age of marriage.

Thanks. That made life so much easier. The child was born in 1865. He was 27 and she was 30. I've done marriage notices from 1856 (when he would have been 18 and she 21) to the end of 1865. There was only one record in 1862 that was entirely waterlogged and unreadable. I figure I will go back 2 more years, and then I will guess that they got married somewhere else, and moved to Milazzo to have at least this child.
Advice? I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Your strategy or waiting until the records get indexed someday. Work on another part of the tree with lower hanging fruit.

They all seem to have the same last name. OR do the last words in the name mean groom and bride?

Is there any way to get to the indexes at the end of antenati records without going through one page at a time?
Also, I've looked for the marriage in the year the child was born, and they year before. But since he was 27 and she was 30, it's likely not the first child. Should I be looking 5 or 10 years earlier?
