In 1864 it is definitely Schmiedemeister = master smith.
1855 is a bit peculiar - but a few lines up he also lists a "Smidt": the writer seems to object to the "ch" in what should be "Sch" - with that in mind I would also read Schmiedemeister in 1855.

In the second image I read: Schmiedemeister = master blacksmith.
In the first image I read: Smiedemeister. It is strange that the "ch" after the initial "S" is missing but I would still think that this would translate as: master blacksmith.
