Help understanding my ancestor's role in this document.
I posted this item August 20th, just about the time the ask a question function went down - so I'm reposting.
I found this document when going through Szukaj w Archiwach for a German community in current Poland. I'm searching in the community of Hohenbach/Ranischau in Galizien near Czermin, Mielec, Podkarpackie, Poland. I believe the record is written in German and it has my ancestor's name Johann Laubenstein listed in the top part of the page. Date should be around 1820 or so.
When I google translated the category of documents it indicated they were "Requests and complaints from members of the Evangelical community."
It is difficult to read, and I don't need a complete transcription. I'm wondering if there is someone who is able to decipher what's going on and is able to see how my ancestor is involved and what they might be able to share with me. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks a lot!
Susanne

I'll start with an attempt to transcribe ….
Wohllöbliches K. K. Kreisamt!
….. …... [a name?] hat einem wohllöblichen Kreisamte gehorsamst anzuzeigen
… Matthäus Remicker(?), Schulz der zum Ranischauer Pa-
storate eingepfarrt im Gemeine Steinar(?) erlaubte dem verletzten Kir-
chenvorsteher Johann Laubenstein wegen seiner ämtlichen An-
zeige [crossed out] obwohl …. [… crossed out] beÿ der Rani-
achauer Pastorate gemachten Anzeige, wegen [crossed out] in Betreff der durch
………………………………. Entheiligung
des Feyertags mit ……………………. und hiedurch der ……………..
schlechten Beÿspiels mit durch einer öffentlichen [crossed out] vor der ganzen Gemeine
angenbrachten …………………………………
…. possibly someone else is willing to continue 😉.
What I guess from this part: Johann Laubenstein was church councilor and had been injured (possibly in the sense of insulted) bei someone desecrating a holiday and thus giving a bad example. This had been reported to the County Office.
I assume "Gemeine" is identical with "Gemeinde" (community).
