Anyway, to figure out what town this is in the record?
I am looking at this record because I think Anna Justina Sommerfeld is my great great great grandma--if I can put all the pieces together. Her family was first in Heliodorowo/Samotschin area and then her husband's death record showed up in Znin area. I can't understand very much from the record--but I saw tobacco planteur--and I have another family member who was a tobacco planteur on the other side of this same family. I thought if I could tell what town this record was from it would help me to know if these parents are a match for my Anna Justina Sommerfeld GXQP-XRP. The town shown on the record looks like Samter--but Meyers Gazetteer didn't have any listings for a Samter--is it short for Samotschin by chance or any ideas on what Samter is? Thank you so much for any ideas!

Hello @kellerkatielorraine1,
The place listed in the first line of the record is: Neudorf beÿ Samter = Neudorf by Samter.
Neudorf is a very common place name in Germany; there are 160+ places with that name in Germany. Since Heliodorowo and Samotschin are located in Posen, I limited my search to Posen and found a place called Neudorf very close to a place called Samter. Here is the link from Meyers Gazetteer for the most likely entry for your Neudorf beÿ Samter: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20262091.
Click on the "Map" link in the gray bar at the top of the entry and you will find Neudorf marked with a red arrow slightly east of Samter.
There are two entries for Samter in Posen in Meyers Gazetteer:
The first: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20672054
The second: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/20672055
These are both essentially located in the same place on the map, the second appears to be a smaller subdivision of the first.
