Request to help find if I am related to Fouquets from Poitou, France
Please help me get further back.
According to the death certification of Gustav Ludwig Fouquet he was born around 1743. He was a tax collector. He died 14 Jan 1827 in Tempelburg (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/521748:8798?ssrc=pt&tid=18251847&pid=112398150899). His wife was Dorothy Sophia Muller. The earliest I have doumented the family is his son Frederich August Theodor Fouquet who was a baptismal sponsor on 24 Oct 1800 in Templeburg. He also was a tax official. I have no dates for Frederich, but I believe he married twice: Charlotte Wilhemine Tybelius and Sophia Brummer. Another son of Gustav was Carl Eberhard Valentin Fouquet (1783-1860 FS film 102439894 page 50). He was the Butow tax collector. His son of the same name also worked for the tax office (102439894 image 46). They were Lutheran. I am wondering if they are related to the Fouquets from Poitou, France. How can I research them further back without going to Salt Lake City? Thank you.
