My primary interest is finding Mary Cole parents, b 1835 Sombre, Ontario to a Samuel Cole who I believe was born around 1800 in Vermont. She went on to marry Timothy Somes and they lived in St Clair, Michigan and raised a large family. Her oldest son, Samuel was born in 1854. On the tax records there are a number of Cole's listed in the Sarnia area of Ontario but I don't know the geography just yet. Are Sombre and Sarnia in the same area of Ontario?
