Requests on how to post in Discussion area from Moderator
Hello, German Group members. My name is PaulaAnn, and I am the moderator of the German group. I would like to make the following requests for posts in the German Group Discussions:
1. Please state where the record is from
2. State the name(s) of the principal(s) in the record
3. If the image is attached, attach the link to that image, if possible
4. Attach one image per translation request
5. Once the request is posted, please review it to (a) make sure it makes sense to the reader; (b) the image is attached; (c) the image is legible
6. If there is a large number of requests, please post one or two at a time; wait for a response, then post the next one or two
7. Remember to thank the Responder
8. If you like the response, give the Responder a “Like”
9. If the response answers the question, please mark the response “Answered”

If I may add one more:
If you post an image please don't crop it tightly to the entry of interest but include possible column headings or, even better, the whole page. It helps the translator to see the context and offers more material for comparison wrt the scribe's style of writing.

I'll add one more request - please make sure the image is right-side up, not turned 90 degrees. It's very hard to read sideways!

Okie dokie. I will be posting this every month. I will add that to my next month's list. Thank you so much for this suggestion. We want to make it as easy as possible for those volunteering as our translators/transcribers. We appreciate your time and talent very much. PaulaAnn :)
