family photo album
I have a beautiful photo album that my great-grandmother brought with her from Germany. There are no names on the photos but there are several different photographers names. Any thoughts or suggestions of how I might find out who belongs to these photos?

Hi L.W. , I had a similar problem. I posted the photographs on my website with as much information as I could find on each photo. I added the place, time and anything else I knew under each photo. Then I send the link to family members and asked what info and insights they could add.
If your photographers are famous or well known the his/her photos may be found in a local archive. There are often people in German towns who have special knowledge of the area and local history.

That is what is quite mysterious to me. Nearly every photo has a different photographer name on it and different town. There is Chemnitz, Schleiz, Reuss. etc. They were living in Schleiz.
