Help Translating Birth Record
I would like some help with my translation of the attached birth record. Specifically, I can't make out what the word after Benedikt Engst's name is - presumably his occupation? Also, I can't understand any of the handwritten text at the bottom of the page after the signatures.
Regards,
Stan Deutsch
Here's my attempt:

Looks like the word after Benedikt Engst is Pfründner. See Grimms Wörterbuch for definition - https://woerterbuchnetz.de/?sigle=DWB&lemid=GA00001&mode=Vernetzung&hitlist=&patternlist=&mainmode=#5
The writing at the bottom is as follows -
Der Standesbe (Fischer?)
Vorstehendes Geburtshauptregister für das Jahr 1879
enthält nur 6 Einträge. Wird hiemit abgeschloßen.
Huldstetten d. 31 Dez 1879
Standesamt (Fischer?)

Good morning @Stan Deutsch,
You did very well with both your transcription and translation. Keep up the good work.
Here are a few edits shown in bold:

Translation:
Huldstetten, 22 December 1879
Benedikt Engst, benefactor/sinecure, residing in Huldstetten, Catholic religion, appeared before the undersigned registrar today, whose personality is known, and indicated that from the unmarried Maria Engst, Catholic religion, residing in Huldstetten, was born in Huldstetten on the twenty-second of December of the year one thousand eight hundred seventy and nine in the morning at eight o'clock a child of the female sex, who was given the first name Rosina.
Read, approved and signed [signatures of informant and civil registrar]
Comment: As noted by @sylviaelchinger1 the words at the bottom of the record are unrelated to this specific birth record. The civil registrar is simply "closing" the birth register for the year 1879.

Hello again @Stan Deutsch
The phrase at the beginning of these civil registration records starting at the end of the first line and continuing onto the second and third lines is:
der Persönlichkeit nach _____________________________________ kannt
is used to record how the informant was identified by the registrar.
Note that the last word is "kannt" and the registrar will add either "be" = bekannt = know, or "aner" = anerkannt = recognized.
Also note the large space provided between "nach" and "kannt". If the informant has to provide documentation to identify him/herself, the type of documentation presented will be recorded in this space.
In your record, the phrase is: "der Persönlichkeit nach bekannt". The simplest way to translate this: the personality is known, or, whose personality is known, or, personally known; all of which indicate that the person reporting the event is known to the registrar and therefore no additional identification is required.

Hello Robert,
Thank you for your help with this. I was struggling with how to translate Persönlichkeit so your explanation really helps clarify how to understand these records.

You're welcome, Stan. I, too, found this phrase difficult to translate when I first starting working with these civil registration records. The suggestions above all work well and convey the correct sense.
