Valentin Metzmaier - Baptism record - translation request

Hello all,

I would like to ask the community for help translating a christening record for an ancestor named Valentin Metzmaier. It is from 1817 and is handwritten in kurrent script I believe. As it is very hard for me to read I would appreciate someone knowledgeable translating it into English for me. If possible the german transcription would also be appreciated.

Baden im Jahre eintausend achthundert siebenzehn, den achtzehnten April Abends 6 Uhr ward geboren und am 19ten nemlichen Monates und Jahres Nachmittags 3 Uhr von mir getauft ein Knäblein Namens Valentin, ehelicher Sohn des Joseph Metzmeier, Bürgers und Ackersmannes zu Gunzenbach, und der Magdalena geborenen Lorenz. Die bey der Taufe gegenwärtig gewesenen Zeugen sind Joseph Sulzer, hiesiger Bürger und Stadtpfarrmeßner, und Johannes Jörger, hiesiger Bürger und Ackersmann auf dem Thiergarten; Pathe des Kindes

Baden in the year 1817, 18 April 6:00 pm was born and on the 19th of the same month and year at 3 pm was baptized by me a little boy, named Valentin, legitimate son of Joseph Metzmeier, local citizen and farmer in Gunzenbach and Magdalena née Lorenz. The witnesses present at the baptism were Joseph Sulzer, local citizen and  town parish sacristan, and Johannes Jörger, local citizen and farmer on the Thiergarten; baptismal sponsor of the child
