Struggling with 1751 birth record in the Pfalz
Interesting record for child born a couple of weeks before the parents' marriage which appears to recognize the child's legitimacy based on the banns being completed, but has the word 'abgodle' that I can't make sense of -- probably latin? Something like 'before God' might work, but can't find it:

Hello Tom, you did very well with this quite difficult record. I can't really help with the word in question, but have some other minor corrections for the transcription, see below. I read the name as Pfrister, not Pfeiffer.

I find it difficult to transcribe a word when I don't understand the transcription. If I guess the meaning could be something like obengenannter = above named, but I can't identify the letters.
The term for "she was born" is "kam.... mit einer Tochter nieder"; niederkommen is the (outdated) verb for "give birth to".

Another specific question is whether the last date cited -- 3ten Mantÿ-- should be Martÿ a form of the latin Martius for März rather than some version of Montag. This would make sense given that their official marriage date was 3rd March.

@Ulrich Neitzel : thanks very much! This version makes good sense. I had also suspected the family name was different from the indexed record version of Pfeiffer. Same thing for their marriage record below, for which the indexed record also reported Pfeiffer, but also looked more like Pfrister! Did you agree with my transcription of the spelling for 'abgodle'? And also, what word in the birth record specifically indicated she was born [on the 13th]?

@Ulrich Neitzel : thanks for clarifying 'nieder' -- that definition doesn't appear in the usual references! Makes sense, though -- just like 'mettre bas' in French (though usually for animals).
