I believe the individual in the above death record appears in the FamilySearch tree, the death date matches and also birth place of Norway. You could review the sources.

You are correct; he is KF5C-VRT. However, I am suspicious of the birth record in Norway being the same person. An error was made with his wife Mariane's lineage, and we don't want to make the same mistake with him. That's why I am interested in a translation of the annotations that I mentioned in the post.

@randall9 randall9 Have you reviewed his marriage record that gives a birth place and age for Guldbrand Fredricksen? https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?bsid=173236#173236,29113552

Yes, Praestegaardseie doesn't seem to be a specific place, but a generic "sub farm under a vicarage", of which there would be many. That's why I want to know what the texts say. Need more information

@randall9 randall9 I asked a Norwegian friend to look at this. Here is her very kind and skilled translation.
Forulykket ved et fald ned i Lasten paa et
norsk Skib.
Henhørte ikke til Folkekirken eller til noget anerkjendt
Trossamfund. Efter Enkens Udsagn være de apostoliske kristne.
The cause of death due to an accident. A fall from the top of a Norwegian ship to the bottom.
The deceased was not a member of a accepted religious community, but his widow informed that they were acquainted with the apostolic faith.
He was buried without the participation of the priest.

Thank you very much. This is more than we ever knew about him, apart from vital statistics.

Have you considered looking for a probate record? It might not say much about his birth place but any relationships could be helpful, plus interesting facts about his debts and possessions if he had any.

Another individual added her thoughts on the translation and said, "Just to be exact: He fell into the norwegian ships cargo-room."

Here is what I can see: Note under burial 23 October 1868 it reads Unden Jordpaakastelse (did not have the 3 shovels of dirt put upon his casket, that was customary in Norway. Then it says: se Anmerkningen ( see the remarks). column next to his name: Baadfører - født i Norge - ... Vennelyst gift (Skipper, born in Norway, married).
Last column: Forulykket ved at faldned i Lasten paa et norskt skib. (Casualty by falling into the load on a Norwegian ship. He does not belong to the Lutheran church or any other accepted religious congregation. According to the widow he may be of apostisk christen.

There is a place named Vennelyst in the city of Oslo in Norway. It is located in or close to Holsts gate 13 (Holsts street no. 13). There my be other places named Vennelyst, but this is the one I found.
