Dharmstat war memorial names.
First I'd like to thank @PABullfinch for adding me to this group. I do have a couple German documents that could use translation. I've tried a couple translation programs but they want some hefty fees for results, and judging by what I have received, I can't understand the English interpretation they gave, so really no help.
What I'd like to find is a list of names on a war memorial in Darmstadt, Germany and names in the Darmstadt Forest Cemetery.
My 2nd Great-grandfather, Ernst Konar Luft was born in Darmstadt in 1832. According to his obituary, he was working at the Office of the Kreisbladt in Nidda, Germany in 1850 before coming to the United States in 1853. Ernst is a brick wall for me.
Darmstadt was fire bombed Sept. 1944, killing between 12,500-13,500 residents and displacing around 66,000 inhabitants of the 110,000 that lived there. I believe this is why I have a brick wall. I believe places that may have contained records of birth and deaths, churches and the like were destroyed. I also suspect any relatives of Ernst may have perished during the bombing, thus my wishing to know the names on the memorials.
The calligraphic memorial Durmstadter Brandnamen lists 4000 names but I can find no resources with the actual names. There also doesn't seem to be a list of names in the Darmstadt War Memorial Forest Cemetery....that I can find.
I know it's a longshot but was hoping to browse through the names to see if there were any Luft's listed amongst the dead. If anyone may know where to look, I'd sure appreciate a response.

@AllanLuft I couldn't find a list of names online. In the information about the Darmstadt - Waldfriedhof (https://kriegsgraeberstaetten.volksbund.de/friedhof/darmstadt-waldfriedhof ) it states that "Today, bronze plaques with almost 4,000 names on the lower wall of the roundabout commemorate the citizens of Darmstadt who lost their lives in the air raid." You would need someone on-site to visit the cemetery and view the memorial. I could check with an acquaintance near Darmstadt to see if they could check things out.
The same website has a online search option. It sounds like you can submit an inquiry if you don't get a result from the online search. https://www.volksbund.de/en/erinnern-gedenken/gravesearch-online
