Quick Question - Latin Help
I am trying to understand if the Latin words "sequiter annus 1666" indicate the end of 1666 baptisms...or the beginning of 1666 baptisms. Google translated it as "following year" but I want to be sure I am interpreting the records correctly. Right page, #142, toward the bottom. Kirchdorf am Haunpold-St. Vigilius, M9518 - Mischband - 1636 - 1677 Munich Catholic Archives. Thank you!

Hello @Bonnie Jones Graham,
If you are referring to the left page which is page number 142, what it says is: Sequitur Annus 1667.
This translates as: Following is the year 1667.
I looked at how the scribe began the year 1666: Go to page 137 towards the bottom and you'll find: Incipit Annus 1666, which translates as: Begins the year 1666.
So whether the scribe uses "sequitur" or "incipit", both refer to the coming year.
