Help In Finding My Great Grandparents

- Hi! Thank you for the warm welcome! I have spent some time searching for my great grandparents, Francis Melvin (1809-1889) and Ann Long Melvin (1814-1907). Both were born in Ireland. Ann Long’s parents Patrick (1779-1837) and Ann (1796-1847) Long were born in Tullyallen Louth. I assumed their daughter was born there too. They probably immigrated around 1820. I do not know where Francis or his brother were born. Francis’s brother, Patrick Melvin (1805-1862) married Ellen Cull (1815-1888) Both couples were married in Troy, Rensaeleer County, New York. They were shoemakers and raised their children in Troy. I do not have any birth records or any immigration records for any of them. I do have census reports, business directory information and death records, but no obituaries. If anyone could help me with this search, I would be very grateful! Possibly if you are a Melvin or a Long, I can help you too. Thank you!
