at first sight I read Geometers and assume the occupation was Geometer.

This was a an expert in surveying; see geodesist; or a mathematician who studied geometry.

I now read this occupation (thanks to @DeTe1955) : Bezirksgeometer = district surveyor.

I agree with @DeTe1955 that the occupation of Franz Adam Treiber is Geometer, surveyor in English. In his death record he is a Bezirksgeometer a.D, (ausser Dienst), i.e. a retired district surveyor.
