I recently opened a new FREE account on ANCESTRY because I am a member of FAMILY SEARCH. I then had my Tree from FAMILY SEARCH populate the new tree in ANCESTRY. I was then experimenting with the hints on ANCESTRY. I found some information about my own Marriage records and my father and Grandfather. I added that information to my Anecstry tree. Will the information I put in my Ancestry Account automatically migrate to my Family Search Tree? Or do I have to repeat all my steps again on Family Search?

Short Answer: No, not directly ... (as far as I am aware).
.
I am certainly no expert, with regard to working on/between, "Ancestry.com";and, also, "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
But, from my limited experience, if you save a "Source" to YOUR "Private" 'Tree' (ie. 'Pedigree') in "Ancestry.com"; then, it DOES NOT "Automatically" get attached/uploaded to the "Corresponding" individual/person in the "Branches", that are interconnected, in this in the SINGLE "One" World "Tree", for all of us, that is "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
I am not aware if "Synchronising" between "Ancestry.com";and, "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch" would do the trick either - I will let the experts guide you in that respect.
.
Many Users/Patrons use "Programmes" by the "Third Party" providers that are, "Certified" by; and, to work with, "Family Tree" of "FamilySearch".
.
Such "Third Party" Applications can be found in the "Solutions Gallery" of "FamilySearch" itself, being:
https://partners.familysearch.org/solutionsgallery/s/
.
I hope this helps.

If you go to the person's profile page in Ancestry and then click on the FamilySearch icon tree at the top, sign in to FamilySearch, click on the icon again (it will now be green) and choose Compare persons. You can then share sources to both locations.

Remember sources added to FamilySearch from Ancestry using this method may not show the actually information in the source and will have a ancestry.com URL. That means individuals without an Ancestry account may not be able to read or evaluate the source. I typically use "Tree Connect" to add sources from Ancestry and other websites. It allows me to provide more information for individuals to see. In some cases even download and add an image.

The only accounts that work this way are those linked to Church member accounts through FamilySearch. You must have a church member record number on your FamilySearch account for them to link. Sorry.

Perhaps I am writing the above question to the wrong work group. If so, will you help me get it to the right person who can answer it? Thanks.

No worries - I think your question has been answered, but I went ahead and moved this over to the Family Tree group. Thanks!

If you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you can set up free access to Ancestry (and several other partner products) at: FamilySearch.org/partneraccess
If you are not a member of the church, you can access Ancestry at many public libraries or at Family History Centers. To locate a Family History Center near you:
https://www.familysearch.org/help/fhcenters/locations/
Family History Centers are staffed with volunteers that should be happy to help you with your family research.
