Hello Kent:
Translation:
44. On the 24th of August [1699], St. Bartholomew's Day, Johannes, legitimate son of Michel Kornung at "Breidenborn" [Breitenborn] with [Magda]lena?, legitimate daughter of Johannes Koller at "Lantzengesäß" [Lanzingen] were ____ publicly betrothed.
My comment: Counting the date as line 1, I am unable to decipher the last word at the end of line 3 which begins with "ehl", the remainder of which is lost; this may effect the meaning of the final part of the translation.

Robert, interesting that Lantzengesäß turned into Lanzingen. I looked at a map for a long time and that was the best word I could come up with. The "L" had me puzzled for a time but then I thought like you.
I found quite a few records for the wife of Niclaß Nüchtern, namely Anna Margaretha Koller. I'm going to put them in for translation and try and put the family together. These records are not on FS. They are on Archion, which has a lot of records. I tried downloading the record as PDF, changing it into a jpg and highlighting in Photoshop. The records were barely readable. Tried a screen shot on my Mac and they come out with a full size file, very readable. Sorry about the lost text at the edges.
Another problem is that in the records you have lots of baptisms and suddenly a marriage is thrown in. A little confusing.
You are truly amazing. Kent

You are less an assistant and more a prime mover in what I'm trying to accomplish. I truly appreciate your kindness. Kent
