Family Registers and the like among other cultures.
In the Family Bible Preservation Project - we have collected thousands of Family Bibles with a Family Record recorded within the bible pages.
Interestingly Family Bible records are much more common among Christian PROTESTANTS than they are other christian groups. (probably a lot to do with the history of the printing of the Bible and how protestants were involved in this) - but without going down that "rabbit hole" . . .
I was just wondering if any of you who have knowledge/exposure/association to other religious groupings (examples: Judaism, Muslim, Hindu, Bhuddist and more . . . ) - what types of records they have - that are maybe quite similar to "Family Bible Records" - but would not really be called "family bible records"
or any of you who are of different ethnic/cultural groups that also might have traditions/customs etc, as to how family information is recorded and passed down - I'd be interested in hearing anything that sort of compares or contrasts to Family Bibles)

I have a Vaughan Family Bible and I know you have a Vaughan line. But it is so complicated to get it posted. It is under Memories for Nathan Vaughan

Complicated as in adding it to your Bible page. It is under the name and number previously posted.

The Family Bible Preservation project site was not really designed for people to just upload their own bible records.
We get our records from various sources already on the Internet - and I do the uploading all myself.
BUT we using FamilySearch Memories - which anyone can upload to. So just using FS Memories you can upload your bible. But we in this specific project wont know about it - unless you let us know. For now - just send me whatever you wish to be part of the project.
Thanks

@Dennis J Yancey , my experience doesn't go very far out of my family research, but I'm the Philippines, naming patterns are pretty common. My family is more comparable to the naming patterns in Latino communities, but I do also know from a RootsTech contact that China also uses naming patterns. I believe he called it a Zubu book, which is essentially a clan poem, and names were derived from the poem based on generation and relationship.
