Death register for my 4th GGF in Vogelsang - Hilfe, bitte
I can transcribe/translate quite a bit of this death record, but would appreciate some help in clarifying some questions and filling in the blanks.
NOTE: I believe the "side note" in the left margin is for another death record, unrelated to my 4th Greatgrandfather, correct?
Died 26 Dec 1850, buried 2 Jan 1851.

Hello @Robt_Nielsen
good work! Here are my additions/editions in bold:

TRANSLATION: The widower Hans Henningsen, retired farmer in Vogelsang, legitimate son of the late cottager Hans Henningsen in Stoltebüll, and the late Sünje, geb. Elertsen. He was married with the late Christina Margaretha, geb. Lorenzen, widowed Schmidt in Vogelsang; he leaves behind 1. from his already deceased daughter Margareta Dorothea, - having been married with Hans Christian Möller, a cottager in Kraglund, - 10 grandchildren. 2. Anna Margareta, married with Hans Adolph Nielsen in Rabenholz - has 5 children. 3. Christina Margareta, having been married with the late Hans Friedrich Garsdorf of Cappeln - has 2 children. 4. Elsabe Christine, married with Hans Adolph Jessen of Schwackendorf - has 6 children, 5. Magdalena Christina, married with Hans Stallknecht of Hadersleben - have 4 children. The deceased was 77 years, 1.5 months old.
Note: "weil." for "weiland" is a very frequent abbreviation in German church books. It denotes a deceased person.
The note in the margin is the death notice for Heinrich Joachim Steffensen, a soldier. He died in Elmshorn and this is obviously a copy in his home parish.

- Why the masculine "der" in reference to the deceased females? Why not the feminine "die"?
"der Frau" can be both the genitive and the dative case of "die Frau" (nominative). In the first place ("der weil. Sünje" = of the late Sünje) it is the genitive; in the second place ("mit der weil. Christina Margaretha" = with the late Christina Margaretha) it is the dative, because the preposition "mit" always requires the dative in German.
- Are you confident about the transcription of the family name "Elertsen"? I don't think I've come across that name elsewhere in these parish records.
Yes, the handwriting is well readable. Note that the name is divided over two lines: Elert=sen. Elert is a (not so common) first name.

Thanks for that response @Ulrich Neitzel
I have since found more records with the "Elertsen" family name more clearly written, usually in conjunction with records involving the "Henningsen" family.
