Only a quick snip today,..worked in the garden all day.
After making a string
'Celine Dupays Tournai', i found a obituary of a Person named Michel and he was born in Tournai
around 1837 . A certain Céline Dupay is in the line of the Nieces and Nephews.
So given my statement yesterday about Tournai, it could be a possible target to search.
There is no date when Céline was born. Worth exploring?

The only problem I have is the age of the deceased man.Born in 1837 It would have to be more of a brother to Cecilia. I'll keep that location on file. born in Saint-Dizier (Haute-Marne).
I heard a family story that my grandfather used to tell my mom, He said that his family ( this is Carlus's son, Victor and Cecilia's grandson) That his family was from Alsace-Lorraine. I know he could not have been talking about the Imer side of the family because I know they are not from that area. I have no idea how he knew this info. He died before I was born and that is all my Mom ever knew.
Just more info to make us more confused

We are not confused , Ellen.I will keep Lorraine at the side for later.
I'm still focussed on the Dutch name of Cecilia. And the fact that she is born in 1832_1833?
But i took the liberty to grab the militairy book that was offered by Erudita, and was left behind because it was in French.I downloaded it,its a freebie, and i took a very fast diagonal read of it.
I translated some things of interest..., will come back on the rest later.

The commanders were called directors , because basically, they also had a medical degree.
The first listed 7 have under directors 1st class, the 4 next under the command of directors
2st class, the next 5 under 'Under'-directors 1st class, and the last 3 under
'Under'-director 2ste class. The degree the directors have goes from General
captain. That is in one of the earlier pages of the book. Not important.
But the Under-director 2st class for Nieuwpoort, indicates that this was among
the 3 smallest fieldhospitals.
The list shows that i was correct to find that Imer served in a medical branch of
the regiment, That it was a small one, and that he served in Nieuwpoort, it also
indicates that the regiment had a hospital presence in Tournai,Doornik, as i
asserted, and specified around 1843, Imer then had the rang of Under luitenant.Also Brugge is present;
wich is the nowadays repository-location where the birthrecord of Cecilia's
child is.
This list only contains the military hospitals, infirmery's and field-hospitals.
The list with other locations for the non medical related branches is wider.
(diffracted in the book)Some parts are interesting to translate. If you store it , i do not have to store it, i can always ask you to repost it.
I don't like to keep things stored , Ellen, i have lots of running query's and its confusing.
That was all for today,...shorter of time.

Browsing the Brugge archives, after making a login. They are massive. Not even a certainty that
Nieuwpoort was served by Brugge's repository during 1854.Also has a lot of parishes.
I also browsed Etterbeek, from 1832 to 1835, and St Joost Ten Node same period, but to no yield.
The reason i targeted them was because during the revolution in 1830 to 1831 the main field of batlle where the regiment was fighting was the Warandepark in Brussels. But this would be a pitch beyond space.
Maybe he was recruited later on, or she did not live near the field of fighting.
