How to find my elusive ancestors in records for Babince, Galicia, Austria
I have hit a brick walll looking for records for my greatgrandfather Andrij Braszczuk and his family who immigrated to Canada in 1897 along with his brother Michael and his family (I have all available Canadian documents and ship records), but I can't find any of the 16 family members in the thousands of documents I have looked at in the Babince, Galica, Austria and surrounding villages. The ship records all give Babince as the birth place/residence at the time of immigration. Andrij was born about 1855 and Michael about 1860. Their respective 12 children born between 1880 and 1899.
I find a Tatianna Brasczczuk for the relavent time period in a neighboring village that indicates she was from Babince, but I don't know if she is related to my ancestors.
I have looked at both Roman Catholic and Greek Catholic church records and keep coming up empty. Any suggestions for where else I might search would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Judy

Could you post a link to the passenger list for the family?

I only have PDFs of the passenger lists and it appears that a PDF cannot be attached. I am not sure how to post a link to the documents.

Good Morning,
I have tried to copy the link to the Hamburg Passenger List and the Canadian Passenger List from Ancestry, however, both the links get saved as a Chrome HTML Document and they won't attach. Do you have any suggestions for me?
Thank you,
Judy

Hello,
Absent being able to figure out how to attach a link, I have converted the Passenger lists to jpegs. Attached please find 5 jpegs for the 2 Braszczuk families that immigrated to Canada.
