Hello Kent:
Translated abstract:
Deceased: Johann Matthias Scholl.
Died: 24 Sep 1755, 5:00 pm.
Buried: the following day, 25 Sep 1755, with sound, singing, and a sermon.
Cause of death: "Gichtern" = epilepsy, convulsions.
Age: 10 months, 2 days.
Father: Christop Scholl, citizen and widower.
Mother: Maria Barbara Süssin.
My comments: "Gichtern" has other meanings as well as those above, including gout, gouty cramps, and attack of pestilence.
I assume "sound" refers to chiming of bells.
Since the father is identified as a widower in this record, this means that the mother died between this child's birth on 22 Nov 1754 and his death on 24 Sep 1755. Are you able to confirm the mother's death in this time frame?

FS has Maria Barbara Süss born in Untergrombach, Bruchsal, Baden, Deutschland in 1723. However no death date is found on FS. I have not researcher her so far. There are only two documents found on FS, the one you translated and an indexed one on her birth. As noted below Maria Barbara was Catholic. In order for Christoph and Maria to meet up they had to travel 164 miles which was quite a distance at the time when most people traveled by cart or walked.

The nice thing about what you have done is now I can search for Maria's death in Graben's records. Thanks.

Robert: Usually I don't value these early death records and skip having them translated but in this case translating it gave us the clue needed to find the mother's death record. I tried searching using FS indexed records which turned up nothing. But walking through each record I was able to find it right away.
