@Ulrich Neitzel Thanks for the help!
When someone is identified as "des Königl. Hüfner", the royal farmer, do you know the meaning of that "Königl." adjective?
I am tempted to think it refers to Asmus being a farmer for one of the Danish estates, e.g., Gut Gelting, but I believe the Danish feudal system was dismantled in the late 1700s, or at least some of them were because my direct ancestor, Christian Nielsen, received his parcel of land in Rabenholz when Gut Priesholz was parceled in 1796.

I am certainly not an expert on the history of Schleswig or more specifically Anglia which is the region of interest here. As you say "Königlicher Hufner" can well mean a farmer on one of the noble estates.
That said, I found a historic book on the internet ( https://sydslesvighistorie.dk/books/91480085.pdf) which goes into some detail about the estates and their owners, maybe it is of interest to you, however it is in German. Priesholz is treated on page 223.

@Ulrich Neitzel Thanks for that link. At some point, I will try to struggle the German type and browse some of those sections.
