Can you please help me decipher and translate the following record?

The 12th March. Of Henrich Herber (shepherd) ...?... died buried old.

On the 12 March 17died Henrich FERBER (the shepherd). He died while on the fields and was buried. Age not listed, they forgot to do that, but perhaps it means simply "old" and you read it correctly.
In the index, they also listed the surname as HERBER, but I am almost sure it is FERBER. Hopefully I am correct with it. First I thought it was GERBER, but the more I look at it I think it is FERBER.
the same surname is listed on 15 Jan 1758 and in the index this one is also listed as HERBER. Perhaps you need to get a second opinion on this one. Sorry, but it might be important so that we get the surname correct.

I looked through a few years of the death records
Image 178/1755 has the same name again listed on 9 Mar and it really does not look like the surname starts with an "H". I still think it is FERBER.
